"We are people-oriented, and we enjoy designing for every budget. That’s the main reason for David Jeffrey Designs. We think the beauty of flowers should be available to everyone. We love making people happy by introducing them to a floral experience." Weddings are a specialty that we have cultivated over the years.

Indeed, both men are the kind of appealing guests you’d want at all of your parties – cultured, lively and interested as well as interesting. Although both are artists and designers, each respects and nurtures the others special talent. David does the general planning, "He has the business sense," says Jeff. And David acknowledges Jeff as the chief arranger, "He is a genius with flowers."

The story of the firm’s founding is unusual in this area, when CEO’s conduct symphonies, Michael Bolton sings opera and every pizza delivery boy pushes a screenplay. When the pair met, David was an occupational research analyst for the government and Jeff was in educational media with Disney. Together, they started making flower arrangements for friends, who urged them to "go pro."

They then had the extraordinary idea of "apprenticing" themselves to a successful designer. The very best, they decided, was Dona Bellettini in the Valley, who was doing lots of movie studio work and had herself studied with legendary floral designer Silverio. They offered to work for her on evenings and weekends (and here is the unusual part) without pay! Donna accepted with one proviso: "If you promise not to open next door to me." And for two and a half years, David and Jeff learned their craft.

Today, their individual style is recognized by the connoisseur. Although they design in any style requested ("ego should never get in the way of art!"), Jeff’s passion is for the lush profusion of European style. "Trends come and go," he says, "we've seen the sleek contemporary look, the country phase, etc. European happens to be in now, but I’ve always loved it. Actually, I like anything classic. Good taste, good design – they never go out of style. And I do enjoy creating something new every time."

David’s specialty is flair for envisioning an over-all plan. He often will coordinate catering, lighting, linens and music – all the components of a memorable event. "David Jeffrey Designs" will provide the general public an opportunity to purchase flowers, accessories and arrangements.

"We’ve always had a lasting relationship with clients – word of mouth is usually our only advertisement." They are grateful for their clients and invite you call or browse our online products."

"Afterglow" is a quality that all party-givers long to attain, that special, magical quality remembered long after the food, the fun and the favors have faded.

In Westlake Village and its environs, if the ambiance of a certain occasion lingers in the mind, chances are that David Jeffrey Designs has something to do with it.

One should say "David and Jeffrey," for the popular florist design firm is the result of a partnership between two personable, gifted men named David Vincent and Jeffrey Camarda. Now after twenty five years of designing events, providing corporate and private floral arrangements these dynamic partners have come full circle. From their original elegant floral business twenty five years ago with grand piano decor, to opting for a warehouse based setting that accommodated their large volume clientele, to their beloved "David Jeffrey’s Flowers on the Boulevard" location where friends and clients alike were known to drop in by the dozens. David and Jeffrey are continuing to make new friends and share their magnificent talents in creating their signature floral designs.

David Jeffrey Designs have long been in demand not only from corporations like Bear Stearns Investments, Skadden & Arbs Attorneys, but a host of private clients including the most glamorous party-givers of Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Malibu etc.

Perhaps our most extravagant work was the old Harold Lloyd mansion, when Ted Fields owned it. It was a wonderful challenge, says David. We were coordinating flowers with his renowned art collection. The house was vast, some 45,000 square feet, so the shear size of some arrangements were Extraordinary.

"That was fun," Jeff agrees, but hastens to emphasize that such dazzling budgets are not at all necessary to capture David Jeffrey Designs' attention.
